Power Production Calculation

The user can simulate and compute the control and loading response of an operational wind turbine. The user can incorporate a wide range of environmental conditions including wind, waves and earthquakes.

A fundamental aspect of power production is the turbine control. A wide range of control models are available for pitch or stall regulated, fixed or variable speed turbines. Fault cases can also be simulated to cover appropriate load case scenarios as required in design standards.

A user-defined controller is supplied known as the Bladed Example Controller that enables a user to run a power production. It is supplied as a pre-compiled DLL in the installation folder. The DLL source codes is written in C++ and can be found in the BladedExampleController folder of your Bladed installation.
