Measurement configuration
Within measurement configuration you can add and define measurement properties for each measurement site in your project.
Some users prefer to instead create new measurements by loading time series data in the "Load measurement data" task then this task can be used second to refine or correct measurement details.
Watch our 12 minute measurement campaign tutorial video for an overview of how to set up the measurement camapaign.
Teminology
Within WindFarmer there is a 3 level heirachy to measured data that can be reviewed in the measurement tree:
- Measurement sites
- Measurements, recorded by multiple Instruments
- Signals
- Measurements, recorded by multiple Instruments
Item | Examples |
---|---|
Measurement sites | Masts, Lidars, Sodars, Reference Stations, Reanalysis nodes |
Measurements | Wind speeds, wind directions, temperatures, pressures, relative humidity |
Instruments | Anemometers, wind vanes, thermometers, barometers |
Signals | Mean, Max, Min, Standard deviation resampled time series with regular intervals |
Min and Max uncalibrated values
The Min and Max uncalibrated values define an unphysical value filter that is applied before calibrating time series data. Uncalibrated data outside of the pre-calibration sensor min / max range will not be visible in the Wind > Data Cleaning view or accessible to calculations. This feature is generally used to remove padding values. Ensure your padding value set in File > Preferences > Data Export is set greater than the max uncalibrated values.
